Rothamsted Research is an independent charitable body whose antecedents have been conducting research at Rothamsted for over 160 years. Whilst not a public authority, Rothamsted Research supports the principles of open dialogue between the public and research as well as our accountability with regards to public expenditure. We will endeavour to follow the spirit and intention of the "right to know" as encompassed in the Freedom of Information Act (2000). The precise procedures that we adopt will be based upon the experience of those public authorities to whom the Act applies.
