Summary of data and its usage

ERSA is an institution with an administrative council of its own, and is subject to the control of the Regional Administration, to whose approval ERSA must submit its policy. ERSA consists of different branches, located in various parts of the region. The realisation of its projects is delegated to specific departments. The technical departments for agricultural experimentation and for chemical-agricultural and certification are located in Pozzuolo del Friuli (Udine). ERSA operates in different sectors, all of them connected with agriculture. Its purpose is to find a solution to the problems which jeopardise sustainability of agriculture. The technical departments improve the know-how of farmers by finding new ideas regarding production techniques, and by conducting experimentation leading to the highest quality regional agricultural products and propagation material.

ERSA is taking part in some international projects, such as:

the realisation of objective 5 B and relative document for the planning of the development of rural area, according to CEE Regulation No 2081/93 (1994/1999)
INTERREG II - Italia Slovenia (Phare Crossborder Cooperation Programme): "Agricultural and Rural Development of the Karst Region"
