Travelling by car is simple with M1 junctions 9 or 10 nearby, and the M25 being within easy reach. Harpenden railway station, where taxis are available, is only 20-25 minutes walk away and gives direct, fast rail links to Kings Cross, Black friars and other central London stations.
International airports are also within easy reach. London-Luton and London-Gatwick have direct rail links to Harpenden with travel times of 5 minutes and 70 minutes, respectively. Other nearby airports include London-Heathrow and London-Stansted, but getting to Rothamsted from these will require a change of trains in London or use of a car.
